Fariin locks your messages before they leave your phone, and gives you simple tools for everything else: your account, who can reach you, and what to do when something feels wrong.

01 · Private by default

Only the people in the chat can read it.

One to one messages and calls are encrypted on your phone and opened only on theirs. Nobody in between can read or listen, and that includes us.

  • End-to-end encryption on every one to one message and call, switched on for you. Group chats, channels, stories and group calls are not end-to-end encrypted yet.
  • No phone number needed. People find you by a username you choose, and your contacts never leave your phone.
  • Check it yourself. Compare a chat's safety number to be sure you are talking to the right person.

02 · Your account

Keep your account yours.

Add a passkey and you sign in with your face or fingerprint, so there is no password for anyone to guess or trick you out of.

  • Passkeys sign you in with Face ID or Touch ID.
  • App Lock keeps Fariin closed to anyone holding your unlocked phone.
  • One phone at a time. Signing in on a new phone signs the old one out, and Sign-in alerts can email you when it happens.
  • Security Checkup walks you through all of it in a minute.

03 · Who can reach you

You decide who gets through.

A message from someone you have never talked to waits in Message Requests. Nothing you do tells them you read it until you reply or accept.

  • Message Requests hold messages from people you don't know.
  • Choose who can message you and who can call you.
  • Block anyone. Their calls stop, you stop seeing their messages, and they are not told.

04 · When something is wrong

Help is one tap away.

If someone bothers you, report them from their profile. If you think someone else is in your account, you can take it back.

  • Report a person from their profile, or a channel post by pressing and holding it.
  • Spot scams. Fariin will never message you asking for a code or a password.
  • Get your account back by signing in again and changing your password. Signing in signs any other phone out.
